We just got a new dog last night. Her name is Jessie, she is a 40 lb. 1 year old fancy fawn boxer. We got her from a rescue organization called Great Ohio Boxer Rescue. We went to Columbus last night to meet her foster parents and her. We played with her for about 30 minutes at their house and knew that she would be a good fit for us. After greeting us by jumping on the foster mom's coffee table, she played very joyfully and went with us like we have always been her owners. I think she is already attached to us. I took her to Kate's work today and then to the park where we played ball and she got extremely muddy. We tried to crate her last night, but she got very anxious and couldn't take being pent up. I put a blanket on the floor beside the bed and she slept just fine the whole night. She definitely has a lot of puppy still in her...she has a lot of energy. She gets very excited to meet strangers. We are excited to have her in the family (especially cause her name starts with a J!!!!!).
